RESTORED, DAILY RIDER, HARLEY-DAVIDSON suspended SALE: 1936 VLD
1936 VLD HARLEY-DAVIDSONmotor: 36VLD5137Motorcycle SALE is suspended. This is the most fun bike I've ever ridden in the New Mexico mountains. Photos and descriptions are developing below.
1936VLD-1. This bike was built as a dependable rider and a test bed for the parts I made. I have used the 1936VLD as a personal motorcycle since 2025. A fun ride. New Mexico title in my name. VIN is the motor number. No frame numbers on pre-1970 Harley-Davidsons.1936 motor number with a matching 1936 chassis. Motor and chassis have been together since factory assembly in 1936.74” Solo Twin, Special High Compression.Last year of the VL's. 1577 VLD's produced in the 1936 model year. OEM: Front and rear fenders, Primary Cover, Headlight, Horn, timing/oil pump cover, rear chain guard, and carburetor air horn.New, when installed: gas tanks, toolbox, battery box, luggage carrier. All from Replicant Metals. Replicant Metals sheet metal is virtually indistinguishable from OEM.Motor and transmission were built in 2008, by the late great Todd Vinzant.
