Riden it about 3200 miles.11,000, 74" JD's were made in 1928.Santa Fe is at 7000 feet altitude. This bike with a DLX45 Schebler Carburator will cruise nicely at 50 mph with a 40 tooth rear sprocket.

1928JD. Electrical: Dash panel, ignition and light switches, wiring harness, handlebar switches, timer, coil, horn, spark plugs, brake light switch, battery. Correct Dash Panel, 1926-1928. Heat treated Beryllium-Copper switch springs.
JMB Bakelite Dice Keys with heat treated Beryllium-Copper keys. Leather, braided string and handlebar clip.Original type main wire harness with woven outer sleeve. Some fading.Correct Horn button and dimmer switches with wiring.OEM Timer rebuilt by JMB. New bushings, welded and drilled cable attachment holes, new points, and snap on cap with safety chain.Rebuilt OEM coil by Jon Neuman. With spark plug wires. Looks and works perfectly. Jon was great at rebuilding JD coils.OEM 6-volt Klaxon horn. Honk. Must be carefully mounted, no stress points on bracket.

1933VLD. Sterling Siren, 32R, for Harley Davidson, 1932-1936.All parts are OEM with the siren assembly except for the excellent, correct reproduction, thin aluminum, fragile cover.
These are very rare. Rear fender did not need to be modified for siren installation.

1938 UH Harley-Davidson: 38UH4308Clean New Mexico title and registration in my name. I’ve owned this 80" Flathead since 2011. Riden it about 6400 miles.819, 80" Flatheads were made in 1938.Santa Fe is at 7000 feet altitude. This bike with a M51L Linkert Carburator would not make 65 mph.
The Linkert was replaced with a mid-1990's Harley Kehin CV Carburator.
The UH was put on Jim Mosher's Chassis Dyno and a 70% power increse was measured over the Linkert.
Bike easily cruises at 75 mph on the Interstate and the cylinders and heads run a lot cooler.
