These are made from BERYLLIUM-COPPER SPRING ALLOY. Key Tang has same 0.040" bends as originals and the heat treating keeps it that way so the keys won't fall out when riding.

11780-34 - DICE KEYS - $70 with longer leather and handlebar clip.

1926-1936 All Models except EL.

Red, Green, and White antique Bakelite Dice, made in the 1940's and 1950's, with my exclusive berylillium-copper keys, braided leather strap that runs through a brass tube in each die, and crimped brass rings to tie each end. Each key is glued into a milled 0.400" wide slot.

Dice Keys were originally introduced by Harley-Davidson in 1934. Above drawing is from the 1934 Accessory Catalog. There have been many manufacturers of Dice Keys thoughout the years but all (to my knowledge) have used modern plastic dice and poorly made steel keys.

Depending on availability, special orders with different number combinations are available at no extra cost. I've got a 1933 VLD that is red and black, so I have Red Dice Keys with numbers 3 and 3 showing.

11780-34A - DICE KEYS, slotted - $70 with longer leather and handlebar clip.

Only available with a 6 and a 5, as per the 1934 originals. Like the original keys, and not very pretty, a 0.040" slot is cut all the way through each die. Brass tube, as well as glue, holds key in position. Red, Green, and White antique Bakelite Dice, made in the 1940's and 1950's, with my exclusive berylillium-copper keys, braided leather strap that runs through a brass tube in each die, and crimped brass rings to tie each end.

Make your own DICE KEYS!

Dice Keys are easy to make at home using simple tools and readily available parts. The results won't look or function nearly as good as mine but they will be a lot cheaper and you will have made them yourself. Using a hacksaw, carefully cut a slot in a common, 5/8" casino die. Using a hand drill, carefully drill a hole though the die for a leather, shoe lace type, string. After cutting to size, glue one of the inexpensive, internet available steel keys into the slot. Insert the leather string (make the string long enough to tie to the handlebars with a separate string) and tie knots to each end. As simple as that, you are done. Uh, I don't think I'm giving away anyone's manfacturing trade secrets here, certainly not mine.

161035 - SAINT CHRISTOPHER MEDAL for MOTORCYCLIST'S, 1" diameter, nickle clip, sterling silver - $40

Sterling Silver with a Nickle clip.

These medals were first introduced in the 1949 Atlas Motorcycle Accessories Catalog.

314011M - Handlebar Clip - $10.

Use with above Dice Keys. Unless keys are firmly inserted into the switch, they will vibrate out. Ever wonder why originals are so very rare? This clip will keep them from becoming lost on the roadside. Only one needed per set of Dice Keys.

AIRHORN LINKERT - NICKEL PLATED STEEL - $65

Open backed, 2 3/4" X 4". All letters in relief. Offered by Linkert in the 1930's and 1940's. Made in the USA.

161035 - SAINT CHRISTOPHER MEDAL for MOTORCYCLIST'S,1" diameter, nickle clip, sterling silver - $40

My handlebar mounted, sterling silver, Saint Christopher medal helps keep me safe. These medals were first introduced in the 1949 Atlas Motorcycle Accessories Catalog, Detroit, MI.
