Harley Davidson Parts, 1936-1948

All Steel parts are 4140 Chromoly, Throttle Levers are Bronze. Parts with prices are in production and most likely in stock. Photos are of actual reproduction parts.



53406-36 - ORIGINAL RACK TYPE LUGGAGE CARRIER - $85 (same price as a USA made reproduction)

Factory Original Harley-Davidson Luggage Carrier. Used from 1936 into the 1950's. Bought it years ago for my 1938 UH. I'm using a -17 rack, instead.



4149-30, Harley-Davidson, 1928-1940. Right Hand Mounted Hand Brake Levers. - $195 chromed lever, $165 Parkerized lever.

Left hand thread cable screws securely into bracket (not so cheap, mild steel, foreign copies). Bracket has casting number 1280-30 on the bottom. Clip has raised GL5 on the back.

I've never seen a 1928-1940, Harley-Davidson made, Right Hand Brake Lever. Mine are modified (lever is shorter and properly curved), handlebar mounted, 45" clutch activators, 2558-30B.

Heat Treated 4140 Chromoly Steel to Rockwell 40C.



1238-36 - THROTTLE SHAFT LEVER - $42, nickel plated

Harley-Davidson, 3 bolt Linkert, 1936 to 1939, 61" OHV Twins. Total height: 0.930".



1238-37 - THROTTLE SHAFT LEVER - $38, cadmium plated

Shown is an original part. Harley-Davidson, Linkert, 1937 to 1948, 74" & 80" Flathead Twins. 1935 to 1948, 45" Flathead Twins. Total height: 1.543".



1238-40 - THROTTLE SHAFT LEVER - $38, cadmium plated

Harley-Davidson, 4 bolt Linkert, 1940 to 1947, 61" & 74" OHV Twins. Total height: 0.760".



1238-48 - THROTTLE SHAFT LEVER - $38, cadmium plated.

Harley-Davidson, 4 bolt Linkert, 1948, 61" & 74" OHV Panhead Twins. Total height: 0.830".



2426-36 type 1 - CLUTCH ARM - $150

Two tapered rod holes. Outer hole for the clutch activating rod. Inner hole was used for hand clutch activation on 45" bikes. Maybe that was too difficult for Big Twin clutches. EL & U, 1936-1937. Cadmium plated. Heat treated 4140 chromoly to Rockwell 40C. Broached 0.500" square hole.



3103-29 - UPPER SEAT BAR PLATE (6 hole shown, or 4 hole)- $18

3103-29S - LOWER SEAT BAR PLATE- $10

Spring steel plates for the rear cross bar, 0.125" thick. Black color results from the heat treating process. Easily removed by blasting. 1929-1964, Big Twins & 45".



3105-36T1 - SEAT BAR, Type 1 - $200 with bronze bushing

1 clevis pin hole, 1 clevis pin stud on each side,7/16" OD bronze clevis pin bushing. 1936 61" and early 1937 Big Twins.



3105-36T3 - SEAT BAR, Type 3 - $210, with heat treated and ground Steel Double Bushings. More to be assembled this Summer, 2017.

2 clevis pin holes, 2 clevis pin studs on each side,large double clevis pin bushings. Grease fitting on top. 1938-1940 Big Twins and 45".



3110-37 - SEAT BAR BUSHING SET - $16, I made more of these than I need.

USA made hardened, ground, Steel Double Bushings. IMPROVED FIT for OEM and reproduction Seat Bars. Colony retail is $30.

Big Twins, late 1937-1964. 45" solo and Servicars, 1938-1973.



4130-36 Type 1 Front Brake Shackle with bushings - $95

4140 chromoly steel. Raised: "XF-834". 2 grease fittings. Facing XF-834, one on top of each end of Brake Shackle.

USA made Colony steel bushings used. 1936-1938, 61", 74" & 80" Twins.



4130-40A Front Brake Shackle with bushings - $95

4140 chromoly steel. Raised: "XF-834F". 1 grease fitting. Facing XF-834F, on top of left end of Brake Shackle.

USA made Colony steel bushings used. 1940-1941, 61", 74" & 80" Twins.

1 grease fitting. Facing XF-834F, on bottom of left end of Brake Shackle would denote the 4130-40 45" version. I have one of those.

4150-28R - REPLACEMENT for ORIGINAL HAND BRAKE LEVER, LEVER- Chromed $125

We made a new mold. These will fit original 4151-28 Brackets, as shown in above photo. All Models, 1928-1940.



4153-28, Harley-Davidson, 1928-1940, Bracket Clip. Not available separately from Hand Brake Lever Assemblies. GL5 (EL/UL era) & GL4 (VL era) in raised letters/numbers as per originals. The parts look much better than my photos.

5092-39 - LICENSE BRACKET - $60

Parkerized. All models 1939-1946. Also listed as part number 68150-39.

Heat Treated 4140 Chromoly to Rockwell 40C. Originals are spring steel.



11525-30HD - FORK STABILIZER - $90

Reproduction of factory part shown in 1929 accessory catalog. Singles, 1929-57 45", 1930-48 Big Twins

Chromed bronze. On the back: M.LAKE CO. Pat'd MAR 1928 BROOKLYN, NY



AIRHORN LINKERT - NICKEL PLATED STEEL - $65

Open backed, 2 3/4" X 4". All letters in relief. Offered by Linkert in the 1930's and 1940's.



AR21 - CHEVRON FOOTPAD- $40

2 each set screws. Top of Footpad is 4.5" x 1.5". Period Accessory for Harley, Indian and Henderson Clutch Pedals and stamped steel Brake Pedals.



FOOTPAD - STEEL - $45 nickel plated, MADE IN USA

Shown are both Footpads attached to an EL clutch pedal. Mine are 4140 Chromoly and have 2 each 1/4-20 set screws. Originals were grey iron with 1 set screw. Aluminum won't work. Set screws would loosen or strip, off comes the Footpad. These will fit JD, VL, EL, & UL clutch pedals, front and rear. Also, EL and UL brake pedals.



FOOTPAD with LIP - STEEL - $45 nickel plated, MADE IN USA

FOOTPAD with LIP shown attached to a 1938 EL Brake pedal. Mine are 4140 Chromoly and have 2 each 1/4-20 set screws. Originals were grey iron with 1 set screw. Aluminum won't work. Set screws would loosen or strip, off comes the Footpad. These will fit JD, VL, EL, & UL clutch pedals, front and rear. Also, EL and UL brake pedals.
